Download folder

Hi, I have the white light version of the My Book World, but I have a little problem with the download folder. Even if I change it in the web interface of Transmission, the feature pack web interface does not show the new location, but still shows Public\WWW\TR-Downloads. To be more precise, I changed the download folder to /shares/Download, which is the default choice for the built-in download options provided by the standard firmware. I think your feature pack should better propose this folder as the default.

Anyway, it's not clear to me what the post-download script actually does and I fear it does not work properly once I changed the download folder in Trasmission but this change is not reflected in your feature pack web interface...

Thanks in advance.
Mauro.

Hi, i have released v1.8a,
it should solve the problem now...
note that you need to stop/start the transmission daemon if you changed the download folder.
I can not access to the download folder.

why ?

teinturman :
I have released a new version of Transmission, which should solve this problem.

This was occuring when the Public folder was restricted to a user instead of public.
accessing transmission over internet

I installed the transmission feature pack and am very pleased with it, what I was wondering though was how I could get at it remotely to check on torrents etc. Would I just port forward through my router to access the gui over the net?

I took a look at the code on google, but as far as I can tell it's just another front end, is it not? There is not much documentation to read there.

Teinturman :
to access remotely your transmission inteerface, you must define a password in the Feature pack menu,
then open port 9091.

Regards,
9091 to another port ? is it possible ?

hello teinturman

thanks for your effort to provide us such a nice improved software.

i have a question for you.

even if my internet conection is relative good, teoreticaly I have conection at 24 mbps, the torrent file transfer is very slow.

i spoke with my internet provider and they give me an advice to change the port throgh I receive torrent file between 20000 and 60000.

this modification i did in my utorrent software and i saw an better transfer for the files.

my question is:

is it posible to change the port 9091 through which I think the transfer took place for the torrent files to another port bigger ?

what and how I can made the changes ?

I am an economist, and I supose that because the port for web server and acces is 8080 than the port for the traansmission is 9091. Is corect what I said ?

Once again thanks and congratulation for your work.

From Romania

Romeo

teinturman : Sorry, but i am not so expert in torrent downloading, My understanding is that Port 9091 was only for a client console to monitor the daemon, so it should not increase performance at all if you change it...
settings of transmission are defined in the
/root/.config/transmission-daemon/settings.json

note : i do not plan to add the possibility to change ports via the user interface...
Thanx

Hey,

Love the Feature Pack. Transmission also has a Remote that works great with this (http://code.google.com/p/transmission-remote-dotnet/).

Only thing I could not get to work was the Time Constraints Setting in the remote. I think this may be a feature in a newer version.

Cheers.
